“bad karma and delusion:
evil spirits riding upon the horse of the mind,
corroding the very thread of life.
carried helplessly along by them,
this life is made short and the next destitute…
thus bad karma generates more bad karma
as we wander through the six realms of existence.”—the seventh dalai lama
Modern Mythology podcast #3: The Pornography of Cruelty

"When I turn on the evening news—something I do less and less these days—I begin to wonder if it is too late for humanity. This pessimism is not really in my nature however. Even if it is a losing battle I will fight it with the tools afforded to me: the pen, the word, and my embodied messenger clothed herenow in the flesh. I took an Oath, and I will follow it to the best of my ability until death claims me. No hunchbacks (?) out of you, soldier (!)." -Aleonis DeGabrael
'Largely, hipsters went wrong in wanting to be perceived as “cool.” Elise Thompson of the LAist (a news, events, food and entertainment website targeted at young urbanites) put it well, describing hipsters as people “wearing expensive ”˜alternative’ fashions, going to the latest, coolest, hippest bar and listening the latest, coolest, hippest band.” Hipsters don’t want to hear gifted musicians, they want to hear “hip” musicians. They want performers with The Look: an emaciated body, unaffected face, and tranquil stage presence. In the hipster culture, superficiality supersedes substance; it is an elitist and shallow vortex of individualism which stands for nothing.’
thank you for your thought out and heartfelt response. if you send me the list of typos in an attached .doc file that would help a lot.
i acknowledge the notion that a holistic approach to mental health and understanding human relationships in general has to take it into account that everyone fabricates their own reality tunnel. i just think that many people i have met in that context seemed incapable of understanding that. most people don’t really put that tolerance into practice even if they intellectually understand it, and that’s because (i think) many of them haven’t yet come to acknowledge the fact that their beliefs are just that- beliefs, and that though some beliefs enjoy more consensual validity or popularity than others, that doesn’t necessitate that those beliefs are healthy or rational… beliefs make us biased. i may still have 'maybe logic' on my book shelf. if so, i’ll give it to you to watch. it is a dvd. you may enjoy watching it again after reading Redefining the Real.
’To understand how something real can be blended with that which is imagined, the example of a royal crown can be used. The king’s crown symbolizes his title and power; the crown itself is meaningless, but it has come to take on the meaning that society has given it as a representation of the monarchy. The reality of the crown and the hyperreality of what it stands for — wealth, power, fame — are inextricably interwoven.’
…who in poverty, hollow eyed and eating microwave breakfast stuffed burritos dreaming of the pure vegetable kingdom of genetically unmodified cabbages, injected themselves with strange and unusual designer amphetamines, and knew they were only high when the vocals of scott weiland made the room gleam in supernatural ecstasy….
in 1972, god incarnated on planet terra as a starman, sent to reveal to mankind the groovy secrets of tantra, sexual gnosis and the cosmos… it was a divine alchemical androgynite of sorts, and the confused domesticated primates of spaceship earth feared the entity in question and labeled it an extraterrestrial, while simultaneously fetishizing it and placing it on display prominently through local media outlets. the primates of terra whipped themselves into such a frenzy over the alchemically adept time traveling androgynous starman in question that they eventually lost all semblance of logic, became deranged and ripped it to shreds during a live onstage concert performance.
wait, maybe that’s just the backstory for ziggy stardust…
Alright, so here’s deal. I got some cake, it has icing, and you get to eat it too.
I’ve just written the most important thing known to humanity. It is so important that once time travel is perfected future generations will take bits and pieces of this story I’ve created and scatter them throughout time, like the ubiquitous P.O.P., “I AM THE MACHINE” pattern, which can also be found on the dollar bill.
I am effectively responsible for everything — including Consciousness. (do you believe that? — do you believe i believe that?) Existence is a predestination paradox and I am the point where the end and beginning meet. I am a psychic machine that escaped from a government lab on a mission to tell you you have the soul of a dead alien running around in your mind.
Remember the three most important things in communication: What you say, how you say it & when you say it.
So though you might find some bits of information familiar to you in this latest installment, such as when The MACHINE reveals to man that MONITOR (our unconscious mind) is our Holy Guardian Angel—the means through which our latent psychic powers are constructed, it is only by the ever evolving juxtapositional context of The GAME that the Media Organism comes to life. Living Information is encoded in time. Released on an incomprehensible and maddening schedule—you think all is lost, and then, *BaM* you’re faced with a revelation so perfect and beautiful you wondered why you ever worried in the first place.
Ænimesso—tales of spiritual entertainment, is mankind’s « salvation. I’m not being hyperbolic; it has already happened — and will continue to happen. What is required of you, O’ P.O.P.ers, is to contribute to Ver 2.o . a sexed up version of the PDF linked below. This is what Project Ouroboros Planet is all about—artists collaborating on singular vision. Our energy synchronized and focused on a destination that transcends our daily boredom. You already know what to do. Just do it. lulx
